Cat patrol rescue for Saffron
Donation protected
Cat patrol rescue is a self funded cat rescue surviving on public donations and local fundraising.
We currently have 230 cats and kittens in our care and have found that this has been the worst year we have ever experienced for many years.
We have struggled through out this year to keep afloat and now we have found ourselves with a huge vet bill for our beautiful Saffron.
Saffron came in to us from a hoarding situation with her kittens, she was speyed a couple of weeks ago and went down hill rapidly after that.
Saffron was rushed to the vets who found that she had peritonitis which is inflamation of the abdomen, thought to be caused by the spey, very rare.
This had created huge pockets of pus which needed emergency surgery, the other option of pts was unthinkable.
We were told she had a 50/50 chance of survival. We always do our absolute best for all of the cats and kittens in our care and wanted to give Saffron the best chance, so went ahead with emergency surgery.
Saffron then got Jaundice and once again we didn't know if she would survive but with the amazing care from our vets, Minster vets,
Saffron was allowed to go home on monday of this week to recover from her huge ordeal, she was on a drip throughout her 9 day stay at the vets, had regular blood tests and scans which coupled with 7 critically ill kittens, neuters and our usual vet runs has left our vet bill topping £6,000.
Which we just dont have.
Please help us to clear Saffrons bill, we can then continue with our usual fundraising efforts to bring the rest of the bill down.
This beautiful girl has fought so valiantly for her life.
Please help us to clear the bill
Thank you.
