Hi,
On Friday night, I received a phone call that all pet owners dread. I was told my cat had been in an accident and had been taken to a local veterinary hospital.
My beautiful gentle boy Max had been hit and left at the side of the road, thankfully rescued by kind hearted paramedics.
He is currently stable but in need of surgery which is going to run into thousands.
As you can see from the X ray, his pelvis is badly damaged on the left side and additionally he has a lung occlusion and laceration to his left cheek.
I am appealing for help towards his care, any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
All funds raised will go to Max’s vet bills only.
Update: Tuesday 17th June
Max is scheduled for surgery for Friday as apparently there are ortho vets on leave and only one available, however they said that they are happy with this as his kidney function is slightly off so needs to be monitored.
He has had a ct scan today and a feeding tube placed as he’s not wanting to eat any food at the moment.
His pelvis is too badly damaged for reconstruction or prosthetics so will be the femoral head and neck excision. Praying for things to go well and he can go on and live a happy healthy life.
Thank you for the donations, it really means a lot to me and I’m so grateful for the support.
it is going to be a long and challenging recovery but we will give him all the love and care we can.
