I got accepted into the Royal College of Art in London, England for their MA Textiles: Soft Systems program. I was given 4 weeks from my acceptance letter, February 11th, to put down £2000.  You read correctly. I have to put down £2000 by March 11th, 2019 to secure my spot. I've looked for scholarships, fellowships, grants, bank loans, the financial support office, calculations from my own income, my parents, mentors, the works, and now I'm here. The money being raised will go towards my deposit and my plane ticket.

RCA is my DREAM school, and the Burberry Material Futures Research Group is my DREAM lab. I am a Materials Science Engineer entering Materials Design. My goal is to work in, create, and be the intersection between Engineering and Design across industries. The Textiles: Soft Systems program at RCA is the next step towards achieving this goal. I am inspired by the creative freedom RCA gives their students. I am inspired by the rigor of their program, and I KNOW this is where I'm meant to be.
