Established in 2022, we are a small group of volunteers dedicated to raising the profile and welfare of the lives of stray cats living in Skala Eressos, as well as the neighbouring villages where possible.
What we do
- Provide a rescue and rehabilitation space, where sick and injured cats can receive treatment, continued care after surgery and end-of-life care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and facilitate veterinary visits (one of our biggest expenses)
- Provide medications, vaccinations and specialist food
- Participate in spring, autumn sterilisation programmes (TNR: trap, neuter, release), as well as targeted sterilisation throughout the year when financially viable
- Give support to individuals in the community and treat cats on location, where possible
- Provide an all-year round feeding programme, delivering food and access to fresh water each day to around 500 strays
