On the 3rd of May, thirty of University College's finest runners will be doing the Gateshead half Marathon /10k to raise money to benefit Olivia Inspires, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to so many people. ❤️

Olivia Inspires is a charity that was founded to keep the spirit of Castle student, Olivia Burt, alive. Olivia was a first year student who sadly died in 2018 and her charity supports disadvantaged young people in the New Forest, Olivia’s home. Olivia Inspires offers grants to enable 11-18 year olds to have some of the opportunities enjoyed by their more fortunate peers in STEM, sport and the arts. Since Olivia’s charity started, 750 young people have received awards totalling £150,000. These awards have funded a wide range of life-changing activities including sail training voyages; educational courses and sports club memberships and equipment to name but a few (see attached photos).
