Some of you might know of me already. I'm an independent cat foster out on Tattoine, beyond the Dune Sea. As an independent, I'm responsible for vet care and food for all of my fosters. And sometimes I need some help for these wonderful darlings. The area I'm in has many feral cats, and few sane rescues. (There's a whole 'nother story there. That was for another fundraiser, for Londo Mewllari's life. He's happy to report that he's thriving and huge.)

Clove and Poppy, our cover babies, are two of those fosters who will need to be fixed before adoption! Plus they need to eat, have shots, vet visits, all that fun stuff. I specialize in smol and spicy kittens, and these two were once hissing and spitting at me! They have four littermates, Mace, Peppercorn, Salt, and Anise, who also need shots, a vet visit, and fixing. I'd like to make their adoption fees their neuter cost - realistically, that won't cover anything but the neuter, though. It doesn't cover dewormer, for example.

Someone has to help the kittens, and it's not sustainable for a single family to do alone. Plus we have other complications! Due to another long and painful story involving job loss, we just declared bankruptcy to save our home. 5K of legal fees later, any semblance of emergency funds are utterly gone. . (That's a story for another fundraiser too.)

Adding to our pain, our eight year old cat The Doctor has fallen suddenly ill and needs immediate veterinary care. See above about funds, we're going to be eating ramen this week at best, and plain rice at worst, to get him a vet visit. As it stands...we'll be able to get him some antibiotics. I fear it's worse than that will fix.
