Hello, my name is Cas.
I never imagined I would be here, asking strangers for help just to get by, but this is where life has brought me.
I live with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a condition that causes me to experience multiple non-epileptic seizures every single day, sometimes more than 20. These episodes
strike without warning and leave me exhausted, disoriented, and unsafe to be alone.
Alongside the seizures, I cope with tics, chronic pain, extreme fatigue, mobility challenges, and cognitive struggles that turn everyday tasks into uphill battles.
Recently, I also learned that I am part of a system of over 40 alters, likely due to DID/OSDD.
We call ourselves the Cassius System. Managing complex trauma alongside serious physical illness has been unbelievably overwhelming. Every day requires careful coordination just to stay safe and present.
Because of the many disabilities I live with including treatment-resistant depression, panic disorder, complex PTSD, autism, and ADHD I am unable to work. I can’t drive due to the seizures, and even simple things like standing too fast or exposure to fluorescent lights can
trigger episodes. After more than two years without being able to work, my state disability benefits have ended, and my savings are completely gone. While I wait for a decision on my SSDI case, which will take months, I am now struggling to make ends meet.
This fundraiser exists to help cover the essentials that keep me safe and housed: rent, utilities, phone service, medical costs, and transportation to appointments. These are not extras, they are the basic support I need to survive day-to-day during this waiting period.
Everything raised here goes directly toward sustaining my ability to remain in stable housing while continuing treatment and working toward recovery and system integration. There are
no organizations involved. This support goes directly to me, during the most vulnerable time of my life.
Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But your generosity whether through a donation or simply sharing my story gives me more than financial relief. It gives me safety. It gives me stability. And most importantly, it gives me hope.
From the deepest place in my heart, thank you for seeing me, believing me, and standing beside me when I need it most.
With love and gratitude,
The Cassius System
