Hello, everyone. My name is Paige, and a couple years ago I foster failed the best little kitten anyone could ask for. Unfortunately, Cassie started to feel poorly over this past weekend with what we believed to be a UTI. She was taken to the vet on Monday for bloodwork and urinalysis.

What I expected to be a relatively routine vet visit quickly turned into a nightmare when the vet told me that Cassie's kidney values were off the charts and that she needed to be hospitalized. A urine culture was sent off and an x-ray done, but it was suggested to me that she may have somehow been poisoned. That evening, she was transferred to a 24 hour emergency vet where she could be monitored and further tests performed.

The next day, I spoke with the vet, and we decided to consult the ASPCA's poison control hotline. We determined that the most likely culprit for Cassie's current condition was lily pollen left behind by a bouquet we had tossed weeks prior. I was told that she would need to remain in the hospital for at least another few days, and that her prognosis was guarded.

Thankfully, she is now expected to survive and will be able to come home soon. However, I am struggling to get the funds together in order to cover her hospitalization. The total bills will be close to $8,000, which is unfortunately beyond my capabilities. I hate to ask, but I would be immensely grateful to anyone who can help me pay for my wonderful girl's care.
