Hello my name is Lance Torres ,
In December my co-workers and I found out that one of our beloved co-worker was diagnosed with breast cancer. We decided to try and help her and her family  by raising some money to help ease the stress of all the unkowns to come.  She is the most amazing, careing and loving person you will ever meet! If you have ever had cancer or have had a family member who has had cancer then you know what she and her family are going through. If you can help us help her that would be amazing!

Here is her story:

Hello my name is Cassi Prosper,
I am a 32 year old mother and wife, recently diagnosed with triple negative stage two breast cancer. Triple negative means that it is not treatable by anti-estrogens, anti-progesterone, or anti-HER2 medications. Normal Ki69 rate in cancer is %10 and mine is %60, meaning that it is very aggressive, and is only treatable through highly toxic chemotherepy (Adriomycin/Cytoxan and Taxol). I will begin chemo in two weeks. I am seeking treatment at UCSF because I feel like that will give me the best chance of beating this and I will be under the care of the best team of Doctors. Unfortunately that also means that I will have to travel about 2 hours to and from every appointment and weekly chemo treatmens. Prior to my diagnosis I worked three jobs to support my family. I have been a pharmacy technician for over 14 years and am blessed that I have had many opportunities. I work full-time at a hospital pharmacy, part-time at a retail pharmacy , and teach Pharmacy Technician modules at the local Junior College. My teaching position is an independent contract so I am not compensated at all for time missed. I am currently on a leave of absence (unpaid) from my part-time job so that I am able to accommodate all the Dr's appointments, MRI's; scans; biopsies; ultrasounds, EKG etc. I am lucky enough that my husband is a stay at home dad and is able to drive me to my appointments, but because of this my income is all we have and as I see it steadily decreasing, and the bills begin to pour in reality is smacking me in the face. I feel like the walls are closing in on me. I have insurance, but it is not the greatest and I have thousands of dollars in bills already, and I have not even began treatment yet. Also the cost of commuting for treatment add up quickly. Keeping a possitive attitude will help me get over this hurdle in life, but the added stress and possibility of not being able to support my family is the most devistating part of my diagnosis. I will be so thankful if anyone could help my family and I through this life changing situation.
