Cassie’s Surgery & our IVF journey

Hello, our names are Cassie and Char ,

We created this go fund me to help provide some financial support towards my surgery this coming Friday and for our IVF journey. Right at this moment my fertility specialist has raised some immediate concerns regarding a lump polyp growing on my uterus that has continued to have growth , with concerns it could be cancerous ,

in order for us to proceed with our ivf journey this needs to be removed , not only for us to have a baby but also to stop any further complications regarding my health in the future. We have been quoted $3000 for the surgery which the only day available was this Friday otherwise it’s a 5-7 month wait private or 7-11 month wait public . We don’t want to give this thing a chance to grow within that time.

It's been a life long dream for the both of us to have kids together , and I’ve always wanted to be a mum since I could remember . Since the moment we met, It was clear I had found the partner that I knew would make a great parent to our future child , char adores kids and we both can’t wait to experience it together

Unfortunately, IVF is the only option and chance for us to start a family , I was told last month that I have been diagnosed with severe PCOS. But there’s still a chance for us

Since the beginning of our ivf journey, the cost of preparation of everything that this journey entails, including testing , procedures and now a surgery to make our dream come true is not only overwhelming but draining as well. Defiantly not something we were expecting . But we can’t put a price on a beautiful child

Over the timing of our appointments our fertility specialist has insisted that undergoing ivf is a time sensitive situation and should be done as soon as possible to keep the chances as high as possible for success. And given the age we ain’t getting any younger .

Its been emotionally , mentally , financially and physically challenging for us , we have been very hesitant to reach out to friends and family due to people scrutinising us for asking for help , but we aren’t afraid to say we are in need of support.

IVF Round (including meds)- $6000

Donor Sperm collection- $2000

, we have set a goal of 5000, to cover some of the cost but mainly for the surgery we have this Friday which is the emergency surgery , every dollar counts to bring us one step closer to making our dream of becoming parents a reality, we appreciate any contribution and give our sincere thanks to everyone who does support us x
