Cassie’s journey to recovery

*Supporting Cassandra's Road to Recovery*

My name is Kristen, and I'm Cassandra's best friend of 17 years. On Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, Cassandra suffered a catastrophic stroke at the age of 33.

The events unfolded quickly. Cassandra complained of a slight headache around 9 pm, took some Motrin, and went to bed feeling fine. However, around 1:30 am, her husband Scott woke up to her faint cry for help. He quickly called 911, and Cassandra was rushed to the hospital.

Despite the swift response, Cassandra's condition worsened. She underwent emergency surgery to remove multiple blood clots from her brain and was later airlifted to Sudbury for further treatment.

Cassandra's current prognosis is challenging. She is paralyzed on her left side, and it's unlikely she'll regain movement in her arm and leg. She'll require intensive rehabilitation and will be hospitalized for 8-12 months.

 -Relief for Scott so he is able to afford the lodging expenses and travel and missed work income

 -Partial travel and lodging expense coverage for myself and other family members where Scott and Cassie see fit
