Cassie’s Health Emergency
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Pam and I am Cassie Cline’s mother. Over the past year and a half, Cassie has experienced medical issues. The Doctors struggled to find out what was going on. Cassie went from being fully self-sufficient to counting on others for her care and her family’s care both physically and financially. Cassie has lost 100 lbs and has lost mobility in her lower legs, hands, and arms. Cassie is unable to walk or do many things we all take for granted. Currently, we have a diagnosis. Cassie has GBS Guillain- Barre’ Syndrome. This is a disorder of the immune system where the nerves are attacked by immune cells that cause weakness and tingling in arms and legs. Urgent medical care is needed. This condition is very rare fewer than 20,000 cases a year in the US. There is no known cure but treatments have been known to be successful. It may take up to a year to recover and in some cases can last several years or a lifetime. Cassie is currently in the hospital here in Tulsa and will be through Christmas. Cassie will then make her journey to rehab to begin the hard work of learning to walk and use her arms and hand again. Cassie has been off work for the last 7 weeks and the bills are piling up. Cassie has 3 children of her own and 3 stepchildren. Anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated… Love you all and will update you soon.
