Cassie’s fight for her 5 beautiful children
Donation protected
Hi my name is Elli, I’m raising money for one of my close friends Cassie. 38 years young recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer. Please read
It’s with a broken heart I’m reaching out on behalf of my beautiful friend Cassie, who is currently facing the most devastating challenge of her life. Cassie has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 non-small cell adenocarcinoma — one of the most aggressive forms of lung cancer.
Cassie and I have been friends for almost 8 years. She is, without question, the most genuine, kind-hearted person I know. She’s a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and someone who always puts others first — even while silently carrying immense pain.
Prior to receiving her diagnosis on the 6th May this year, Cassie had already been through unimaginable trauma. Just as she began trying to recover and began to see the light amongst her extremely difficult year, her health began to deteriorate drastically.
At just 38 years old, her life has been turned upside down yet again. She’s a single mother to 5 incredible children and is now in a fight not just for her own life, but to be here for them.
I had the pleasure of being Cassie’s birth partner for her youngest daughter, who will be 2 on the 22nd of June. Her other beautiful children are 15, 14, 12, and 7 years old. Cassie has done an absolutely incredible job raising all five of them on her own. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of watching these kids grow into the most kind-hearted, respectful, and loving individuals — a true reflection of their mum’s strength, warmth, and unwavering dedication. Her children are her world, and she has poured everything she has into giving them the best life possible.
Cassie’s tumour is the size of a small football and has spread to her lymph nodes. She starts intense treatment this coming Friday. The physical toll is heavy, but the emotional and financial strain is even heavier. As a single mum with very little support, she is trying to stay strong for her kids while navigating this terrifying diagnosis.
In her words, this is how it began:
“The doctor thought it might be Covid or viruses, but I didn’t get better. In December, I was treated for a chest infection — but still, nothing changed. After Christmas, I felt worse than I ever had. I rang my GP and told her I felt like I might not wake up the next day. She said it was stress and trauma and gave me antibiotics. In February, I had a chest x-ray, and they found the tumour, but thought it was pneumonia. It doubled in size by the next x-ray 8 weeks later. It wasn’t until April — after a PET scan and a biopsy — that they confirmed it was cancer. And it had spread.”
Now Cassie needs our help.
She needs support for basic but vital things — comfy clothes to wear to treatment, nutritious organic foods to help fuel her body, supplements, and essentials for her day-to-day comfort and care. Most importantly, she needs the peace of mind to focus on healing without worrying about how she’ll provide for her children during this time.
No amount is too small — every single donation helps. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing her story far and wide.
Other Ways to Help – Paying It Forward, Just Like Cassie Always Has
Cassie has always gone above and beyond to help others — even when she had very little herself. She’s been a pillar of kindness in her community, providing food parcels to residents in supported accommodation, volunteering with Olio to reduce food waste and feed those in need, and regularly donating anything she and her children no longer need — including baby supplies — to social services to support struggling families. She also has a massive love for animals, Cassie has rescued many animals over the years, provided shelter & care until they have been adopted - this again shows Cassie’s kind nature.
If you’d prefer to help in other ways, we are gratefully accepting donations of organic foods, comfy clothing, pyjamas, supplements,
Soursop oil, CBD oil, Black seed oil, Calcium and vitamin D, Folate, Immunity complex, Shilajit, Sea Moss, Lions Mane, Ashwagandha, Lavender flower extract, Pure honey
Oil of oregano and any other essentials that can help Cassie through her treatment and recovery.
And in true Cassie spirit, if we are fortunate enough to receive a high volume of support, I will be organizing care packages on her behalf for women and children in need — just as she would do. I’ll keep everyone updated with the progress and how your kindness is not only helping Cassie but also continuing her legacy of compassion.
Let’s surround Cassie with the love and support she has always given so freely to others. She shouldn’t have to face this alone.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
With hope,
