Cassie's cancer battle

Cassie began doctoring for abdominal pain in September. She was told by her doctor to monitor it. Her pain continued through the month of October when she also contracted Covid-19. In November, an ultrasound showed cysts on both ovaries. A CT scan showed swollen lymph nodes, which the doctors attributed to possible long term effects of Covid-19. Her extreme pain continued and after a doctor appointment in Perham on December 9th, she was transported to Fargo by ambulance. After many tests and biopsies, the doctors were convinced Cassie had cancer, but weren't sure whether it was ovarian, endometrial, or cervical cancer. December 18th Cassie was transferred from Fargo Sanford to a doctor in Sioux Falls who specializes in gynecological cancer. That day Dr. Bell removed her left ovary that contained cysts and a tumor. December 23rd, while recuperating at home, Cassie once again had to return to Perham's ER for excruciating pain. She was immediately sent to Fargo and was admitted, so her pain could be adequately managed. From PET scan results, Cassie was diagnosed with Stage 4 endometrial cancer with a spot on her lung. She immediately started cancer treatment. Her treatment consists of 5 radiation treatments followed by chemotherapy.

Cassie and Chris have taken a leave of absence from their jobs since Thanksgiving and will continue to be out of work during treatments and recovery. She is such a positive, influential and optimistic soul! Please help her and her husband's journey through this, without having to worry about the added expenses during this difficult time.
