Cassie Portillo Medical
Donation protected
On Saturday May 13th, just a day before Mother’s Day my sister went in to the doctors for what she thought was chest pain. When she arrived at UC DAVIS an EKG, blood work and several other test were done, doctors immediately admitted her and began to do work.
Cassie was taken back for emergency surgery due to suffering from a heart attack and during the procedure she suffered a stroke. She has a loving and supportive husband who hasn’t left her side but this also means that he is unable to go to work. Luis is the head of household and is the one who brings in the income. Cassie is a full time stay at home mom to her children and right now they don’t get to have her. She has a very long road to recovery and Luis will need to be off of work for some time to remain at her side and help her get strong again. This road to recovery will be tough on the entire family as we navigate child care for Tatum 4, and Lulu 2 as well as being there to help Cassie get back to herself.
The doctors said we needed a MIRACLE and did all that they could do, it would be up to Cassie to fight and that’s exactly what she is doing. She is continuing to prove that she is a fighter. She knows she has to come home to her beautiful children and husband who miss her dearly right now.
As a family, we are coming together to ask for any donations to help relieve some stress so that Luis can continue to be with his wife as well as supporting his children while Cassie is away. These donations will cover things like medical expenses, child care for the kids, gas to get to and from the hospital, etc. as there will be no income.
Please keep the Portillo/Galicia family lifted up in prayer as we navigate through this difficult season. Thank you and God Bless.
