Cassie and Rio Medical Bills

Friends and Supporters,

My name is Mallory Kincaid and I am starting this GoFundMe to help my best friend and business partner, Cassie Lopez, and her sweet horse, Rio with their combined medical expenses.

As many of you may know, last Friday, Cassie and Rio were in a serious horseback riding accident that resulted in Cassie being care flighted from Florissant, CO to St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, CO. Luckily, Cassie did not sustain any broken bones or major injuries but she does have a long road to recovery until she is fully healed. She is also dealing with the stress of her unforeseen medical bills from her stay in the hospital and medical flight. Rio was also rushed to the emergency vet after the accident where he was held overnight and monitored for injuries and any signs of discomfort. Rio's Vet discovered what is believed to be a fracture and joint damage, and Rio will likely need surgery as well as extensive continued medical care to help him fully recover.

Cassie is an avid horseback rider and an amazing horse mom. Rio means the absolute world to her, and it's apparent how much she loves her boy. She is also the most dedicated small business owner and the weight of these medical expenses for herself and Rio is especially devastating as an entrepreneur. Her two small businesses rely solely on her hard work, both physical and emotional and I hope that we can help unload some of this burden for her while she recovers.
