Cassia with unexpected medical bills
Donation protected
Hi my name is Damaris and I want you to join me in helping Cassia McCullough raise funds for unexpected medical bills.
Cassia’s story begins with a trip to Florida for her brothers college graduation. All was well until her throat began to hurt. She went to urgent care where they told her she was negative for strep throat and sent her home with antibiotics. After a few days of taking them Cassia felt better. However a a day or so after that her throat began to hurt again but would stop hurting so she went on her merry way. While in Florida she was hit by another car causing the accident that totaled her own car. She was able to make her way back home with her father’s help. She felt fine for a few days then she started to feel sick again but said nothing because she thought it would just go away if she slept it off. She continued to work and go to school during that week. On Monday May 16, Cassia developed a fever and couldn’t talk, swallow, or open her mouth very much. She was taken to urgent care where they told her she had an abscess in one of her tonsils and was sent to the emergency room for drainage of the abscess . Upon arrival to the ER, and some tests later, the diagnosis was sepsis and Cassia was promptly admitted to the ICU for antibiotic therapy and blood pressure monitoring. Her white blood cell count was through the roof! Thanks to God and the excellent care from the Parkridge East Hospital staff Cassia is on her way to making a full recovery. However, there’s one issue: the hospital bill. That’s where you come in. Please join us in donating to help her out. Cassia is a very strong and fiercely independent person and would never ask for help. She works extremely hard and has incredible work ethic. She goes to school full time and works full time. She is one amazing young lady! Please help us alleviate some of her stress caused by this unexpected expense. I thank you in advance for your generosity!
