My mom (Cassandra) was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer for the first time in 2012. It was a tough surprise and we had no idea what we'd be in for with this diagnosis. My mom has 2 kids, my sister Destiny and I Dajonna, and the first round of cancer really destroyed us both financially and emotionally. She and her husband at the time had to work several hours even during her treatments just to keep a roof over our head. When she was finally in remission she stopped working so much and started living her life normally again. Fast forward 2 years to 2015 and she was in the hospital again. At this time my mom had decided to get a divorce so things were really stressful all around. The doctor had informed us that her cancer had come back stronger, spread to her lungs, liver, and created lesions on her bones and is in fact not curable. With this being said we don't know exactly how long my mom has left on this earth, the doctor said it could be anytime because her cancer is fast spreading. With only being 35 and having a 11 and 19 year old daughter, my mom has so many more memories she'd like to create with us before that time is out. Any donation would make an effort to help with medical bills as her current deductible, hosehold bills, and the oppotrunity to enjoy what time we do have left with our mom.
