Cassandra's Family Needs Your Help Now

Hello,

I am a mother of 4 kids. I don’t usually like asking for help, but we are at an all time low in our lives and don’t have many options and have been really struggling.

We are currently dealing with mental health issues for one of our children, and our 1 year old now has been diagnosed with an eye issue that can cause him to go blind. We have fallen behind on our bills and are at risk of losing our housing.

On top of everything that is going on my husband just lost his new job that he started on 11/6. He reached out to unemployment and is scheduled for an interview at the end of the month, however that is only enough to cover our rent and wont be received in time before our rent is due again. He is actively looking and applying to jobs but so far has had no luck. I work but am only a part time preschool teacher and don’t make enough to cover a portion of our bills, and with my job I don’t get paid for breaks or holidays, which I am coming up on a 3 week work hiatus, and my husband only gets 1 more work check and than our main source of income will come to a halt.

So we ask for a lifeline from the community and hope that you can find it in your heart to help contribute anything at all to help us in our time of need. And if you are unable to contribute, sharing our story will help tremendously as well. Thank you for hearing our story and we are grateful for any help you may be able to offer.
