This photo was taken on my last day of chemotherapy. Never in a million years would I have guessed that I would be diagnosed with cancer at the age of 31. I've been active & healthy my entire life & I had a hard time believing it was even true. This journey has really helped me grow as a person & I made sure that I always kept a positive attitude & pushed myself to be as healthy as possible as I went through it. I am a better person today because of it. I finished my last day of radiation in February of this year. To celebrate, I created this Go Fund Me to help others who are fighting this battle by handing them a card with a positive, supportive quote & cash from the money that was raised. I was very fortunate that I work for such an amazing company, that I didn't have to worry too bad about the financial side of this diagnosis, but many people don't have that luxury. The last thing these patients want to worry about is how they are going to pay for their treatments & every little bit helps! With the donations I have been able to approach the patients who need it the most & hand them cash & make their day brighter. The response from the recipients & the nurses has been phenomenal. I hope others like this idea. Feedback is welcome & I appreciate all of your support!
