Cassandra Gebro has had an eventful year. Meeting the love of her young life Chris. Graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA and has goals to further her education in the future. In September Cassandra and Chris were blessed with a beautiful healthy baby boy who they named AJ. AJ has been a true blessing to our family. In October Cassandra had her 18th birthday, shortly after she ended up in the emergency room with strong pains  in her abdomen. She was told that the pain was from just having a baby. After the third visit to the hospital Cassandra had a nurse that listened and was able to get more test run. There was a large mass found which was biopsied and found to be a cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma (childhood) and she is STAGE  4. Cassandra is being treated at UCLA medical center for this  rare and aggressive cancer. She began her chemotherapy regiments on Thanksgiving day and weekly thereafter. Cassandra travels back and forth to UCLA weekly, has many prescriptions filled weekly all with co-pays and some that are not covered by insurance, parking,  meals.
Cassandra is fighting this with all she can and vows not to give in to this cancer. she wants to be here in the future for her son, her family,  friends, and all she will come to know.
