My name is Emily. My best friend Dannielle had received the heartbreaking news that her sister had passed away this morning. Even more devistating, the family cannot afford to put their sister, daughter, mother to rest; Nor can anyone afford to get to where she is.
Currently, Dannielle and her brother live in Kansas, while the rest of the family, and Cassandra's children, live in Florida.
Cassandra was a mother of four, ranging from 12 years old to almost 6 months. With a passion for music, she regularly sang to her children and family members to cheer them up. Cassandra was a light and a rock for those around her. Unfortunately, depression took hold of her, and that made it difficult to find the light within herself. After years of battling, her children's father signed over his parental rights of their children. Yesterday was the last day of him holding any parental rights, and this was the moment that ultimately broke her. Cassandra took her life early this morning amidst the struggling to hold herself together. Now her children are without parents, and are in need of homes. Her siblings are left with the unknowing of what will happen next.
Right now we need your help in getting the family back together to lay Cassandra to rest, which she so desperately needs. After a hard life, and an even harder past few months, Cassandra deserves to rest in peace. All we ask is for a few dollars from those who can help to purchase plane tickets for the family to get to Florida ASAP, and funds to lay a lost soul to rest. If you cannot spare a few dollars, please share our story.
Once Cassandra has been laid to rest, all funds left over will go to her children to give them essential needs. Food, clothing, hygene products, and school supplies. Please help in any way that you can, prayers and warm thoughts are also welcomed and needed for the family.
