Cassandra needs our help!

In April of 2021 Cassandra Bensahih, our beloved friend, leader, and justice organizer was in a horrific accident that almost ended her life. She spent three weeks in the ICU and endured several surgeries for the injuries she sustained in the accident, which included injuries to her face, jaw, mouth, ribs, and lungs.

Cassandra had extensive surgical procedures to heal her broken, lower jaw, which required the removal of her teeth. A stabilization plate was fused to her lower jaw which later became infected and had to be removed. Miraculously, her jaw has healed enough where she is now ready for surgical implants.

Cassandra has made tremendous progress with her healing. Now, she needs support from her friends to get her to 100%. Let's show her some love and be there for her now!

Cassandra is continuing to heal, but her long-lasting medical issues are leaving a strain on her and her family. The medical expenses from treatments continue to rise and there is not enough money to go around. Cassandra is a warrior but she needs our help now to cover the expenses not covered by insurance. She cannot afford the out-of-pocket expenses.
