Cassandra Monique Pena: A Loving Tribute 4.21.00-5.19.25
My son Jacob's beloved fiancée, Cassandra Monique Pena, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 19, with Jacob by her side, surrounded by loved ones. She was recently diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, Dermatomyositis Antibody MDA5 (Anti-MDA5), which she fought courageously for the past two months. She graduated from Palisades High School, where she and Jacob first met. They formed an unbreakable bond. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting, and she especially loved her Schnoodle, Riley, who will spend the rest of his days with us. I was honored to be her "bonus Mom" for the past 5 years. She will forever be missed and will hold a special place in my heart and our family.
With hope, I am reaching out to family and friends for help to pay for her cremation services. We will also landscape, plant trees and her favorite flowers and start a garden in a special place in our yard in her memory.
With grace, we accept and appreciate your help.
With love,
Melanie, Jacob, and Nicole
