My name is Cartrice Jones, and I am the best friend of Akira Rufus. My dear friend has truly carried out Deutoronomy 5:16, which is to “Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you,..” From endless nights in the hospital, traveling from city to city just so her mom could receive proper medical attention, to now the hardest thing ever, being there in the final moments witnessing her last breath. My friend CARED for her mother. It saddens me to say that she transitioned on October 1st from Ovarian Cancer.
