Casper’s Unexpected Medical Bills

Hello to all family and friends,

Update 3/30/26:
After 2 nights and 1 day at the hospital, as well as 2 different vets, Casper was lucky enough to be able to digest the foreign material, despite being told by the first vet surgery was necessary or it would be fatal. Our boy is back home and doing okay and we are so grateful the second vet allowed us to have options rather than going straight to surgery. We appreciate all the love and support, and all donations will go towards our financial recovery during this difficult time!

3/29/26: We are currently waiting for answers whether or not our sweet boy will need surgery. On the morning of 3/28/26 Casper got into one of the babies unused diapers and ate only the part with the stuff that expands, as well as eating other things he wasn’t supposed to.
It wasn’t until Saturday evening we realized how bloated and uncomfortable he was so we made the decision to take him to the vet around 12am on 3/29/25. When we got to the vet, his stomach was 4 times the size of a full adult belly and was blocking us from viewing his intestines. We were originally told he would need immediate surgery, and transferred us to another animal hospital that could provide more treatment for us as it was 4am and they wouldn’t be able to perform surgery until 8am.
Upon arrival at the second hospital, and getting new X-rays, his belly bloat had decreased and his stomach was only 2.5 times bigger than a full adult belly, which is still not good but it was improvement.
Due to this, we came up with a game plan for him to stay at the vet with close monitoring hoping he will be able to just push this through, but this also opens up room for other potential risks but we are trying to avoid surgery for our poor pup.
For those of you that know Casper, he’s the fluffiest, most playful puppy and he brightens all of our days by just playing with him. He is only 5 months old and we’ve only had him in our home for a month so he still has a whole life ahead of him, so please send all the prayers.
I am not the type to ask for help from others but unfortunately, his medical bills are going to be a lot, and as a 19 year old working 25 hours a week, this is going to cause a lot of financial stress but all we need is our pup to be okay. I’m not asking for a lot but anything will help and is greatly appreciated during this difficult situation.
Please send all your love for my baby❤️‍
