Casper's Emergency Vet Care & After treatment
Donation protected
On 7/5/2020 at 8:00 PM before going to bed Ashley and I discovered Casper was having severe complications from his Neuter at the Lynnwood Feral Cat Project.
He was severely bleeding from his scrotum area and was covered in blood. We reached out to several emergency Veterinarian Hospitals and each had waits of over 4 to 8 hours.
Animal Medical Center of Seattle accepted Casper within 30 minutes of our arrival and promptly investigated his surgical spots and the scrotal wound.
After and Ultra sound and X Ray it was discovered that his neuter has left his urethra detached and outside of his genitals as well as during this time a large abcess had developed near his scrotum that had ruptured and was causing significant bloodloss.
To save Caspers life he had to undergo anesthesia and have his urethra repaired and his abcess wound deeply cleaned and disinfected.
He was released with several stitches, medications for pain, infection, and inflammation and has to be diligently monitored for 14 days.
We are asking for help raising funds to cover Caspers aftercare with our regular veterinarians. To cover medicine, aftercare visits, and a potential second surgery.
