Casper's battle #CONLEYstrong

As many of you of might have heard, Big Harry, aka as Casper, Harry Senior or Poppy has been diagnosed with cancer. Poppy is literally the glue that holds this giant family together and always has. Casper is the father of 7 adult children, Harry, Amber, Phil, Peter, Raymond, Lauren and Colorado and an amazing Poppy to 19 grandchildren. Poppy spends every second enjoying life and working hard. He was a contractor by day and the biggest family man you will ever meet. He loves hunting, fishing, camping and cheering on his grands at sporting events. He is loved by all that know him and as Poppy says he loves BIG and he LOVES his BIG family.

Last week he was admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain. A quick scan in the ER revealed over 70 cyst and lesions on his liver and kidneys. We feared immediately just how bad things might be, but chose to remain as optimistic as possible over the days to come while more test were run. Unfortunately, due to complications they were unable to get any test done until Monday, but Monday our fears were confirmed. It was in fact cancer. Tuesday, they were going to go in for biopsies, but as the team reviewed images, they ultimately decided that there was just nothing more they could do at Emory. The cancer was far too advanced and aggressive and they thought it would be best for him to enjoy what time is left with those who he loves at home.

This news was unexpected and definitely came as a shock to us all. Unfortunately, Casper does not have any insurance and little Harry is doing all he can to take care of everything at this time. Please keep the family and especially Poppy in your prayers as he fights what's left of this battle and focuses on enjoying his family all he can. If you would like to donate, all money raised will go directly towards his medical expenses and the end of life services when the time comes.
