On September 14th, Dominique was supposed to start school with the hopes of becoming an IT Support Specialist. His internship was approved to begin in March 2016. He was also looking forward to starting a new job.
On August 26th, Dominique’s life changed within a matter of seconds. He became a victim of gun violence and he almost lost his life. Dominique sustained serious internal injuries, he had to undergo a major 5-hour surgery and he spent three days in the ICU. Although Dominique is in stable condition, he will be required to spend several weeks in the hospital. After physical therapy and rehabilitation, he will be discharged to continue his recovery at home. Although Dominique is not in the best shape, we are grateful that God spared his life. We are hoping that he will have a speedy recovery. We are trusting that everything that is broken will be fixed. We are believing that this incident is only a setback for a comeback.
This has been an extremely traumatic event for Dominique and our entire family. We are already beginning to discover many financial burdens due to the absence of health insurance and that is why we are asking for your help. There is no amount that is too large or too small. Right now, everything counts and we are counting every amount as a blessing.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and please feel free to pass it along to anyone that may be willing to help.
Thank you for your prayers, love and support.
