Hi, as many of you know, the last couple of years have been pretty rough. My boys, Ziggy and Cashew came into my life and literally saved me. I’m sure everyone is sick of the puppy spam by now.

Devastatingly, my littlest baby Cashew, who turned 1 last week, has been diagnosed with severe BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airways disease) which means he struggles to breathe, vomits when he eats, can’t play for long periods of time and sleeps mostly sitting up. I dread to think how he will cope once the weather starts to warm up. In short, without surgery, Cashie will continue to have a difficult life and will die much younger than he should.

I have both boys insured and pay my premiums on time every month. I got the highest insurance coverage possible in the event that this would happen (common in Frenchies) but the insurance company is refusing to pay for the surgery as they believe it is pre-existing! I am in the process of dealing with the Insurance council of Australia but that doesn’t help my boy at this point.

Cash is the most beautiful pup. He is calm, snuggly, funny and has the cutest little disposition. I would be so devastated to lose him.

I am asking anyone who can spare a few $ to please help me get the surgery my boy so desperately needs. Please share amongst your friends and networks. I realise it’s a big ask but this boy changed my life and I now want to give him the best life he can possibly have in return. Thanks
