Due to some heartbreaking and unforeseen circumstances, the $3,700 we had saved in cash to buy a car for my girl was lost. We’ve retraced every step — gone back to all the places we were, asked businesses to review their cameras, searched our house and car countless times, and even contacted the police in hopes it may have been turned in.

My girl is a straight‑A college student, attending on scholarships, and working two jobs. She’s three hours away from home and doesn’t have a vehicle after hers broke down this past summer — right before she started college. We were so excited to surprise her with a car as a graduation and Christmas gift, to show her how proud we are of all her hard work.

This money came from a special bonus my husband received for his 20 years of service with his company, and we had hoped to use it to make her life a little easier. I’ve already posted on Facebook offering a reward for its return, but realistically, we know we may never see it again.
