Cash for Ukrainian Refugees at the Border

My name is Elise Vulakh, and I am a senior in high school living in San Francisco. I created this fundraiser to raise money for Ukrainian Refugees camping at the U.S - Mexico Border.

 

I was inspired to take action because my mother is from Ukraine and my father is from Russia. My connection to this conflict has made me realize that I cannot sit back and do nothing while families are separated, homes, schools and hospitals are destroyed, and civilians are murdered in Ukraine every day.

 

During my upcoming Spring Break, I am traveling to the border with my mom and a family friend to bring families home with us and provide shelter for them. I also plan to bring donated clothing and blankets to the refugees who will sadly remain at the border until someone comes to help them.

 

I am asking for donations to directly distribute cash to the people I will encounter at the border. Many of these families came with only their clothing, so any amount they receive would be greatly appreciated.
