"There is a superhero in all of us, we just need the courage to put on the cape."
Our real-life Wonder Woman is beginning a battle with cancer. Casey has just been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma this week at Lehigh Valley Hospital after having worsening back pain the past month and fracturing her thoracic 8 vertebrae. This type of cancer is not curable, but it is treatable. Radiation therapy begins now and the hope is she will finally feel some pain relief and improved mobility.....enough to go home and be with her family in the coming weeks. Casey will then continue therapy as an outpatient but will need lots of help at home.
Please do not feel obligated to financially support Casey and the family. There has been such an overwhelming want to help the person who makes them laugh even on their worst day, that we wanted to create a place you can if you choose to in this way. Casey’s work has been sending dinner over every night to her family while she is in the hospital, thoughtful care packages are being sent, uplifting stories and text messages being shared, reminders that she comes from a long line of strong, badass women, crafts and distractions being sent to Max and Jordan, and just time being spent with these awesome kids so Dad can try to work and focus on our Wonder Woman. However you want to support Casey during this scary time, is appreciated and wonderful of you.
From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate all of the prayers, strength, and hope you are sending to Casey, Mike and their little family.
