Kwe Kwe Family and Friends!

My little sister Casey and family have been through a lot these past months as it relates to Cancer. Casey received the worst news ever just before Christmas that she has Breast Cancer and in order to remove the cancer she will have to have a double mastectomy ASAP. On January 12 Casey had this surgery, the recovery process with be months as she had reconstructive surgery at the same time. Her and Dan are staying at a hotel in Sudbury for 3 weeks until she can comfortably travel back to Lake Temagami. She also has many follow up appointments over the next few weeks to ensure she is on track for healing and has no infections. Casey has been so brave throughout this new reality she had been dealt, the recovery process is not only physically painful but emotionally as well!

Casey is receiving some financial support from FNIHB to cover basic costs with their stay in Sudbury however her and Dan are not working right now so it puts a financial strain on everything else. Any support from anyone is greatly appreciated while they get through this tough time.

Huxley is at home with his grandma Flo holding down the fort and looking after the dogs, he misses his mom and of course worries about her. Meegwetch to all that can and have donated to Casey to help her out financially, she is very very grateful for this support.
