Medical Expenses for Casey Pafford

In May 2011, at the age of 29 Casey was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal cancer. During initial cancer screening, it was discovered Casey had a severely enlarged heart, non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, requiring a pacemaker and heart defibulator which compromises his body's ability to tolerate stressful chemotherapies. Since that time Casey has undergone 5 surgeries, 5 rounds of chemotherapy treatments each round consisting of 12 treatments, with additional radiation treatments. In January 2014, testing confirmed the cancer had returned and is now considered Stage 4, resulting in Casey resuming chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Over the course of the past three years Casey has been unable to work during times of treatment resulting in mounting medical bills and financial hardship for the family.

Casey is a Cheyenne native who married his high school sweetheart, Pam, in 2004. They have three amazing children, Hayden (10), Taylor (8) and Brodyn (5) who attend school in Burns, WY. Casey has been a brother of the Local 192 Pipefitters Union since 2002 and has worked full time for Frontier - Holly Refinery for 9 years. Casey coaches Cheyenne Junior League and is an assistant coach for Cheyenne Stars.
