Casey Stevens Medical Support

Donation protected
On June 26th, Casey Stevens, 32 years old, suffered a traumatic home accident. He was working on repairing the roof of his family garage when he stepped on a weak board and fell through, landing on his back. His right leg hit an old bucket of 3/4th inch rebar that was standing straight up. The metal went nearly all the way through his thigh and severed the femoral artory. He lost a massive amount of blood. He almost lost his life. Due to significant blood loss, some muscle tissue in his leg died and had to be cut out. He also suffered compartment compression syndrome, and surgeons had to perform a fasciectomy on his calf.

Casey was recently in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN, to make sure the emergency surgery on his femoral artory was successful in continuing to circulate blood through his body. He was moved to the Trauma ICU for wound care. Right now, our family can't afford the medical expenses that the hospital is already asking payment for.

He has three beautiful children—Allie Bree (age 7), Lathon (age 6), and Rowan (age 3)—and a wonderful and supportive girlfriend, Erin, with a child of her own (Chloe, age 9). He's such a caring dad and a loving partner. He repairs and paints cars at a local body shop in Crossville, TN, and has always been a dedicated working man. He never misses work days and goes above and beyond to provide for his family, so the necessary recovery time is going to be a difficult struggle. He also loves spending quality time with his family at home and outside, and is kind of a computer and video game geek (let's be honest here).

Everyone has been so strong. Casey's been the strongest out of all of us, but it's scary, and now he's facing a mountain of medical bills and recovery time off work that he just can't afford. We're starting this GoFundMe to help pay for his surgeries and time in the hospital, along with necessary physical therapy over the next several months, and any additional support we can bring to his family while he's out of work and recovering.

Any little thing you can donate would mean the world to us. Please share this GoFundMe campaign if you can!
