OFFICIAL FUNDRAISER. All donations will go directly to the widower, Shawn Schaeffer , in order for him to pay for funeral and medical expenses for his dearly departed wife, Casey Schaeffer .
Casey Schaeffer passed away on September 19th, 2019, following a three-year long battle with illness stemming from her spinal cord injury. Nearly ten years ago, Casey was struck in a car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. That didn't stop her. In 2013, she married a great guy named Shawn, and began her new life as a partner, homemaker, and later on, a beauty queen (Mrs. Wheelchair Kentucky, 2015 ). In 2017, her health took a turn for the worse, and she spent most of the last few years in a hospital bed. Shawn was constantly by her side, unable to work because of the hospital stays, doctors' appointments, and constant care he gave his wife. Casey did not have a life insurance policy, and the hospital bills are insurmountable. She was only thirty-two years old; loved her life, her dogs, and most of all, Shawn. This fundraiser is to assist her husband of almost six years, with funeral expenses and hospital bills. Their sixth wedding anniversary is in seven days, September 28th, 2013.
