On November 16, Casey and his friends rented the track at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe to do a private practice day. This ended in a horrific accident that sent everyone to the Hosptial. Casey got the worst of the injuries. He had to be cut out of his car and immediately transported to Everett, there they did emergency surgery for a ruptured diaphragm. He was transferred to Haborview early this morning. His injury list is long and it will be a VERY long road to recovery.
His pelvis is shattered in many places, broken femur, chips off his spine, concussion and his stomach was pushed up into his chest. It’s still early on but that it the list so far. He will go in today for the first of many surgeries. He will be in Harborview for at least a week and looking at a month+ in a rehab facility. He won’t be able to walk for months and was told he won’t be back to normal for AT LEAST a year.
As you know Casey and Ashley have two boys. Casey is the main provider for their household and will not be able to work for months. Please donate what you can to help with the bills that will be piling up. Anything helps, our family appreciates it more than you know.
