Hello, my name is Julie Woodson, a close friend of Casey Jones. I've known Casey for six years through our surgery center. She is a Certified Surgical Tech who assists surgeons during surgery. I would describe Casey as the best at what she does. Casey is the most loyal and hardworking person that I have ever met. She makes each patient her main priority in the OR, and her morals and values are remarkable.
Casey has been battling an unknown illness for the last 18 months that required several surgeries, multiple appointments, and studies by several specialists. Casey has been recently diagnosed with Amyloidosis of the blood and heart. This diagnosis will require a lifelong treatment that her doctors are still determining. As it is now, she is suffering from congestive heart failure and fluid retention surrounding her lungs, so it is very hard for her to do anything that requires any physical exertion. Honestly, she's out of breath after getting a cup of water.
Since February, Casey has been out of work and has already accrued many medical bills over the last 18 months. Casey is also facing the hardship of moving out of her current residence due to unforeseen circumstances.
Casey never asks for help, she doesn't complain, and she's been working as long as she physically could. Now it's our turn to pitch in and help alleviate some stress and support her through this time. We love you, Casey.
