Casey Dutcher Medical Fund
Donation protected
On the morning of August 3rd, there was an incident that left our sweet, 23 year-old, Casey, fighting for her life in the ICU. She was brought in unresponsive and received excellent care from the staff at Southshore hospital. The medical team there decided that she could receive better treatment at Henry Ford Main, so she was loaded onto a helicopter and sent out there on the evening of August 5th. Fortunately, we have seen some improvement in her condition. She is not awake or lucid but we have been able to get a small bit of response from her when asking for her to open or close her eyes. She also made eye contact with some of us and nodded in response to some questions. Our girl is fighting but it is going to be a very long road to recovery... Whatever that recovery looks like.
A HUGE number of family and friends are joined together in caring for Casey but her parents, Deb and Dwayne, have not left her side. Both are on leave from work as they navigate through every parent’s worse nightmare. They remain strong in their faith and pray every second that God will choose to bring our Casey back to us. She is a daughter, a sibling, an “aunt KK”, a friend... She is our everything.
Medical bills are sure to be piling up and FMLA only goes so far. We ask you to help us support Deb and Dwayne so they don’t have to worry about finances but rather about taking care of their baby girl both in the immediate situation and as any ongoing care may be required.
No amount is too small and every single dollar is appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and possibly to help support Deb and Dwayne. Whether you can or can’t help out financially, please consider praying for our Casey. We need her back so bad.
Love to you all.
