Casey (13yrs) critically injured in accident

On March 24th, my nephew, 13 year old Casey Timothy was in a terrible motorbike accident that has left him in critical condition. He suffered head trauma, multiple face fractures, a broken arm, and spinal cord damage. We don’t know the full extent of the damage yet and he remains in a medically induced coma while they work to control the pressure of his swelling brain.
Casey was riding his motorbike near his home in Lapoint, Utah when he hit a bump and was thrown off his bike into a power pole. He was taken by ambulance to the local hospital then life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City where he is receiving treatment.
Casey has a long road ahead of him with multiple surgeries likely needed to repair the extensive damage from the accident with an unknown length of stay in the hospital.
As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly hard burden for Casey’s family to bear. Casey is the youngest of my brother Jared’s children. His family is no stranger to tragedy and has been hit hard within the last couple years. They tragically lost a child nearly two years ago when his wife suffered from preeclampsia at 25 weeks pregnant.
No parent should have to worry about finances while their child is fighting for his life, and no parent deserves to watch their child suffer in this way.
This fundraiser was set up to help cover the costs of the hospital bills, rehabilitation and treatment, missed work, and any other expenses that come up as a result of the accident.
