The Casa Florencia Emergency Fund
Dear guests and friends of Casa Florencia:
On March 16, after watching our new reservations nearly stop for over 30 days, our last guests departed, amidst a flurry of cancellations of upcoming reservations... Within a few days, we went from being one of the area’s most popular and successful Airbnb hotels, to having lost 99% of our reservations.
The hospitality industry has been hard hit, and we don't know when our business will return.
We need your help. In order to survive in order to serve guests again, in order to keep our team members paid and ensure they'll have a job when this is over, and to continue on our mission of helping promote social equity and new opportunities for single mothers and individuals who have been affected by deportation from the United States.
It is our goal to continue to pay our hard working team members and shelter them during these difficult times. At the same time, our cash reserves will be depleted on May 1, 2020.
Our minimum goal of $5,000 will go directly to keeping our team members paid and allow us to cover basic expenses to ensure they have a job to come back to, at least for the next 60 days. While we hope we can raise more, this will get us through the desperate need.
If you've experienced staying with us, you know that our team goes above and beyond to make sure that our guests have an amazing experience. We truly care about people, and look forward to getting back to business and carrying on with our mission.
