For those of you who don’t know, I was adopted from an orphanage in Guayaquil, Ecuador at 3 and a half months old. Although I don’t know my biological parents, my brother Andrew and I were so blessed to have been adopted by Dr. Kenneth and Dorothy Wilz in 1974 and 1976!! As a birthday present this year, my mother took me on a trip to Ecuador. We recently got back and I can truly tell you that it was the most humble, amazing, emotional and exciting journey/birthday/vacation I have ever experienced. We visited the orphanage that took such excellent care of us years ago called Casa Cuna (www.casacuna.org).

While walking around the 100+ year old building, I couldn’t help but notice the multiple improvements needed ranging from educational materials to the building itself. I saw many walls that needed to be painted along with cracked and missing ceiling tiles. I saw the need for new cribs, beds, small appliances, air conditioners and computers. Can you believe they had cribs from 40 years ago when I was there!!!?? I would greatly appreciate anything you can give to this great organization to help them enrich the lives of children in Ecuador for 100 more years. I am grateful for your support and I thank you so much. Peace and love to you all.
