Rebuild Casa Browndreadis

At 2:58am on Saturday morning I saw my phone vibrate on the nightstand. I told Petro to grab it for me and saw a number that I didn't recognize but decided to call back. (I had a weird feeling) On the other line was a forever long family friend and tenant in our Delray Beach condo, who's voice was panic stricken- "Sam, it's Monica, the condo is on fire. We are fine. We are fine. We are all out. The neighbors are out." She had to go talk to the police officers who were waiting for the Delray Beach Fire Department to show up. Of course the one weekend we decided to head over for a family trip to the west coast of FL... The rest of the night was a blur since we sat waiting by our phone for updates from my parents and Monica. The fire was devastating. It destroyed the entire condo leaving Moncia, her fiancé Jarret, one and a half year old son Ayden, and dog Tux with the clothes on their backs. They didn't even have time to grab their cell phones or keys to their cars, which completely melted. They lost everything. Petro and I bought this condo 11 years ago. It was our 1st home together. It was where we brought our son home from the hospital. It's where Monica and Jarret started their family as well. They are in need of a lot at the moment and we are trying to decide where to start the process of putting the pieces of our condo back together. We are beyond thankful for the human lives that were saved by Monica and Jarret who woke up all the neighbors to evacuate the building. Our hearts are sad for our neighbors cat who wasn't as lucky and didn't make it out. I have a heavy heart writing this and lots of tears have not stopped streaming down my face. Monica and I are trying to work together to move towards the future. I never ask for help... But I am now. If there is anything you can do to help us repair our home so that we can get Monica and her family back into it, we would be forever grateful. Insurance covers repairing plumbing, drywall, Windows and electrical but still leaves us coming out of our own pocket to install flooring, appliances, cabinets, bathrooms in addition to the cleanup from the fire, smoke and water damage. You never think something like this will happen to you but it did. It happened to us. Thankfully the smoke detector woke up Jarret in time to get his family out and safe. We appreciate anything you can do even if it's information on where to start this whole process. Please change your batteries on your smoke detectors today.
