Casa Publica employee relief fund
Donation protected
To all our friends and neighbors and all our Casa Publica family.
As you might know, this is a critical time for our beloved city and neighborhood, and our staff at Casa need your support more than ever.
Covid - 19 has crushed the restaurant business this can't be expressed more. We completely understand our government's decision to request social distancing and ordering a reduction and eventual shutdown of all bars, restaurants, clubs and now the decision of all Newyorkers staying in place. We truly support these measures.
This, unfortunately, has left our hardworking staff without employment, from one day to another. As of last Friday, March 18th, we decided to shut our doors, leaving our staff without a job, for the time being, as it just didn't make sense to put them, and you in jeopardy.
While we are looking for government to give some kind of sign of relief, many of you, though emails and social media, have asked how you could help Casa Publica during these troubled times. The best way your can support is to help our staff who are the heart and soul of our corner Mexican restaurant. We couldn't do these without them, and it breaks my heart that they are going through this hardship. These people show up every day with the best attitude ready to serve, and now it's our turn to serve them in return. 100% of proceeds will directly go to our staff, so please donate!
The funds collected with your donation will go directly to our staff, who are the most vulnerable, so they can sustain their families while we are able to reopen, and it will trickle down to the rest of our staff, we know they will also start feeling the strain and will be directly affected.
We want to say thank you and please know we appreciate your donations, and from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful for your support and solidarity. Be safe, take care of yourselves, as well as the ones you love. Pur door will reopen and we will be ready to give you all our Brooklyn love.
Muchas gracias familia
- Danny, Bob, Dan G, and Sean.
