Casa Lupita WBL- Relocation

In 2001, the Castellanos family opened a small restaurant called Casa Lupita that you all know and love. We have remained open for 20+ years in this location. We have gone through ups and downs and somehow managed to get through everything. We managed to make it through the pandemic, with unexpected closures and everything that it brought. We are thankful for all the support we have received in recent years and the support we continue to receive now. You have been part of our growth and have seen us open two other locations. Red Luna Taco Factory in Hugo and the most recent Red Luna Seasons in Mahtomedi. Our goal has always been to serve this side of the cities with the most authentic Mexican food.

Unfortunately, at this moment we are being forced to close or relocate Casa Lupita. We want you all to understand that it is not by choice; we just don’t have any other option at this time. We have been given 60 days to evacuate this location by our landlords. They did not want to renew our lease and want to renovate the place for other plans they have.

It breaks our heart to announce this as we have remained in the same place for so many years. We know families, individuals, companies and many others that have been coming to support us since day one. At this moment, we are trying to figure out what the fate of Casa Lupita will be.

As most of you know we opened a third location a couple months ago and all our savings went into that. We were not expecting such a drastic change to happen to Casa Lupita. At this moment we are reaching out to our community for help and support. To keep Casa Lupita open, and for you all to continue to enjoy our food we must relocate. Unfortunately, we do not have enough funds to do so. We’re asking for a little help by stopping by and grabbing some food at Casa Lupita or our other two locations.
