The UMN Chinese American Student Association strives to provide a greater sense of inclusivity and community through the celebration of Chinese New Year. We hope to continue to share Chinese traditions and culture through a modern perspective in order to strengthen diverse perspectives on campus. As the Rat was the first to finish the Zodiac Race, we encourage the community to seek new experiences, break boundaries, and pursue a year of Firsts in the coming Year of the Rat.
As you may know, hosting a Chinese New Year event takes a lot of people, time, and resources. Unfortunately, CASA was unable to procure funding from our past sources. Our board is working hard to obtain funding from other places (ie. other grants, fundraising through bake sales, and sponsorships) but will need additional support to cover the necessary expenses to host our event.
Please join us in continuing our tradition of hosting our Chinese New Year celebration on campus. Any help is greatly appreciated!
