Hi friends,

This is Amber, writing on Caryn's behalf. Many of you know Caryn and I from Epic Nerd Camp 2010-2012 or from Camp Punksylvania 2023-present. Or maybe you don't know me at all, but you know Caryn!

Caryn is one of the most delightful, mischievous people I know. She loves ghost stories and tricking people into drinking Malort. She loves punk music and her dog Murphy (featured in the photo for this campaign.)

If you're lucky enough to be her friend, you know that Caryn is excellent at planning and coordinating. But no one can plan for cancer.

Which brings us to the reason I'm creating this campaign: Caryn's got a dang bum lung* and needs us to chip in so that her (qualified medical) team can get the thing out. Once they get it out, Caryn can get back to the important things: planning her next adventure and figuring out how to make Malort thicker.

Please contribute what you can. Funds will go toward helping Caryn meet her out of pocket costs (having cancer is hella expensive, y'all) and help her stay afloat while she recovers from a pretty extensive surgery.

*Caryn has a slow-growing cancer in her lung. It may sound like we just decided to gang up on her lung one day, but her lung's been plotting against her for quite some time now. Her doctors finally figured out what was going on and are removing the cancer so it can't cause any further trouble.
