Hi, my name is Matt and I’m the Chairman of Carterton Bowls Club.

We are looking to raise funds for building development of our clubhouse in the centre of Carterton.

The club is over 100 years old and parts of the building are in dire need of development.

Our indoor green is also very near to requiring replacement.

We are a competitive bowling club with around 100 playing members and a strong social membership. Members range in age from 7 to late 80’s. Our junior section is thriving, currently comprising 20 children. Many of which represent Oxfordshire and have made England U18 squads: both indoor and outdoor.

We are a community hub for the town and provide a place for people to get exercise and socialise.

We also host various functions from local business events to wedding parties.

The proposed developments, all agreed for planning, will enable us to continue to operate as a very popular local sports facility and encourage more people to take part in our sport. It will also allow us to support the community more effectively by improving the facilities we can offer and improving disabled access.
