Support Carter’s Heart Transplant Journey

Hello! I’m Jamie and I am so lucky I get to be called “Aunt Jamie” by this amazing little boy I now want to introduce you to a true little warrior.

Meet Carter. He is 6 years old and has been through more challenges in his few short years than some people have in a lifetime. Carter has hypoplastic left heart syndrome, meaning he was born with half of a heart. DeVos Children's Hospital has been his second home with many lengthy stays. Carter had three open heart surgeries, and has been on numerous medications. He was put on a pacemaker to help his heart function, but Carter's oxygen level is always extremely low. He tires easily and cannot do the normal, everyday things that a child of his age enjoys.

Carter is now in Mott's Children's Hospital in heart failure and has recently been put on the heart transplant list. Carter must remain hospitalized, and my parents must stay in Ann Arbor in the event a heart becomes available. With the uncertain time frame, this is an enormous financial strain at a time that is already beyond stressful. They have a family home to keep up along with mounting medical bills. They now have the added expenses of living away from home during this trying time.

If possible, please help my family out with any donation and/or prayer to support them in Carter's heart transplant journey.

My little nephew may only have half a heart, but it is filled with more kindness and love than anyone I know. Please help if you can.
